The notorious Victor Bout was front page news and a lead story for TV news. He was in the news for about a year. He had already spent years the American prison system. An American female athlete was his ticket out of jail. He recalls the experience on the Rick Sanchez show on the RT channel

He was described as the Merchant of Death. He was accused of being an arms dealer responsible for the deaths of thousands of people. Victor Bout, was sentenced to 25 years in the US on accusations of smuggling weapons that had later been used against American troops.

She was a star athlete. She is the only woman to has won a championship as a collegian, pro and an Olympic Gold Medalist for her country.

She wasn't a fan of the US government. After spending a year in Russian prisons, she was involved in a prisoner exchange for the man that was accused with killing people. The US government's action made her a fan on the good old USA. Before she didn't salute America for the national anthem, now she does.

All she did was play a game for a living. The mystery lady is the WNBA's Brittney Griner. The accused murdered is Ukraine/Russian Victor Bout.

On 6 March 2008, Bout was arrested in Bangkok, Thailand, by the Royal Thai Police based on an Interpol red notice requested by the United States based on conspiracy to provide material support or resources to a designated foreign terrorist organization.

When he was eventually released, he wasn't a happy camper. He appeared of Russia's' RT channel and expressed his bitterness towards the land of the free.

Now, a few years later he's back as a changed man, again appearing on the RT channel.

The now 35-year-old Griner returned to the WNBA after missing the 2022 season. She as yet to tell her story which is worthy of a movie. She was arrested for having a minuscule amount of cannabis oil. She received a nine-year prison sentence after being convicted on drug smuggling charges.

With that said, the return of Bout to the RT channel as a changed man and Russian politician is on. He has a different persona. Gone is the bitterness. What once was an extremely negative experience he now has found humor from those ghastly incidents.

The new Bout can be seen in all of his joy on the Rick Sanchez show (The Sanchez Effect) on the RT channel.

Quite frankly, we've seen both of Bout's previous appearances on the channel. His now reformed persona is shocking. Who is this new man that was shuffled around in America's prison system? The discrepancy is, the US government claimed he was an arms dealer. Bout claims he was only selling airplanes.

If you've seen the film Lord of War attributed to Bout, it shows him commanding a huge plane filled with weapons. When authorities in another plane ordered him to land at a nearby airport he instructed the pilot to land on a dirt road. He then gave out all of the weapons free to the African people that came to the plane until it was empty.

The two stories don't jive. The experiences of both Bout and Griner don't jive either…. BUT THEY HAPPENED!
